Our Story

It all started with the images of migrant workers walking hundreds of kilometers making their journey back to the villages they came from to escape covid lockdowns.  The lockdowns shut them off from earning in the cities. What kind of life awaited them in rural India? In the cities, the regular vegetable vendors could not reach their customers. What happened to their produce? Who was the most affected by these sudden changes to our way of life? What can we do? How can we help? These questions led to the formation of Janati where we are committed to investing our expertise and resources in order to further achieve our cause. We measure our success not by monetary size, but by more qualitative measurements such as the scale and effectiveness of our efforts. Come join us - just imagine what we can achieve together!
